VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Three suspects, including two teenagers, are charged with attacking a Virginia Beach mailman.
Police say he was delivering mail in the 4300 block of Cambrie Circle Tuesday afternoon, when three people suddenly started beating and kicking him. The mailman used his pepper spray to fend them off.
With the help of neighbors, investigators arrested the suspects within hours of the attack.
20-year-old Curtis Roach is in the Virginia Beach jail charged with Malicious Wounding. Two juveniles, 14 and 17, are also charged with Malicious Wounding.
Police say they do not have a motive for the attack, but say it was unprovoked.
The 57-year-old postal carrier was treated at Sentara Bayside Hospital and released. He received cuts around his eyes and on his head.
