Teacher charged with Sexual Battery

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - A Portsmouth school teacher has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery after police say he inappropriately touched two female students.

The suspect, 30-year-old Neil Jonathan Dennis, was arrested on Wednesday by Virginia Beach Police. Dennis is an English teacher at Waters Middle School in Portsmouth.

Jan Westerbeck, spokesperson for Portsmouth Police, tells WAVY.com that the incidents occurred in November and December of 2008.

Both the victims are minors.
