SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police have charged a 36-year-old Carrollton, Virginia man with Murder and Malicious Wounding in a shooting that injured one man and killed another Saturday night.

Police arrested Chad Andrew Kinney at the scene of the shooting in the 8900 blk. of Eclipse Drive shortly after the incident.

Police say Kinney was driving on Eclipse Drive at around 9 p.m. when he encountered a vehicle operated by another man, identified as Glenn Joe Bauwen, 42, of Suffolk. Bauwen had another man and two females with him in his car when he and Kinney became involved is some type of road rage altercation. Police say that's what led to the shooting of Bauwen and one of his passengers, identified as Dennis W. Bailey.

Police say neither Bauwen or Bailey were armed at the time of the incident. Detectives later found Kinney's firearm behind a tree.

Both Bauwen and Bailey were transported to a local hospital where Bauwen was pronounced dead a short time later. Bailey is currently listed in fair condition at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. It's unclear whether or not Bauwen's female passengers were injured.

Kinney has since been charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Malicious Wounding, Use or Display of Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Shooting from Vehicles. He is currently being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
