SUFFOLK, Va. - The City of Suffolk continues to experience flooding in low lying areas which has caused roadway flooding across the City. Residents are encouraged not to be on the roadways unless absolutely necessary.

Trash pick ups will begin at 7 a.m. Friday. Due to the holiday, they will be on the Thursday schedule.
City of Suffolk Offices are opening two hours late Friday.
The Suffolk Economic Authority meeting scheduled for this afternoon has been canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 9 at 4 p.m.
All athletic meetings and after school activities hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation have been canceled for today.
The City’s Emergency Operations Center continues to operate at monitor status.
No shelters have been opened at this time.
