FORT EUSTIS, Va. - After fifteen months of waiting, the need to come to Fort Eustis in the early hours of Saturday morning seemed a small price to pay to see family again.

150 soldiers from the 7th Special Troops Battalion returned home after a fifteen month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  The soldiers' work included convoy escorts, resupplying ammunition, and more.

But two soldiers did not return home with their unit.  Staff Sgt. Juantrea Bradley and Specialist Tenzin Samten were killed when their vehicle was hit by indirect fire.  Bradley's wife came to the homecoming to be with her military family, even though she could no longer be with her husband.
