NORFOLK, Va. - Thursday, pieces of iconic Norfolk restaurant, Magnolia Steak & Seafood, were auctioned off to the public. Furniture, fixtures, art and equipment were auctioned off in order to clear out space for a new tenant.
Air-refrigerators, ice makers and even a cigarette machine were
among the items to go.
Magnolia Steak & Seafood restuarant had been an 18-year
staple in the Ghent section of Norfolk until it closed its doors in
August. The restaurant's owners blame a slowing economy for the
restaurant's demise.
The space is being cleared to make room for a new tenant.
