NORFOLK, Va. - The brother of NFL quarterback Michael Vick, Marcus Deon Vick, will serve one month in jail after pleading no contest to a probation violation Monday.

A Norfolk Circuit Court judge sentenced Vick to 12 months in jail with 11 of those months suspended.

Monday's court ruling proved harsher than Vick's original sentence of 20 days. On October 20, 2008 he was convicted for DUI, Elude Police Officer and Driving on the Wrong Side of a Divided Highway. In August he appealed the sentence to Circuit Court.

Vick will be allowed to serve his sentence on weekends.
