NORFOLK, Va. - One of 22 people charged in an international Visa scheme was sentenced to 78 months in prison on Thursday.

Armenian-born Vahe Harutyunyan, 35, pleaded guilty in March for committing Visa fraud, tax fraud, and money laundering. Court documents show Harutyunyan defrauded the government of $6.8 million in payroll taxes dating back to 2001.

In July a federal judge sentenced Viktor Krus to 87 months in prison for taking part in the scheme.
