Charges against local atty. dismissed

Charges against well-known local attorney Lowell The Hammer stanley have been dismissed.

Stanley faced abusive language and misdemeanor assault charges, filed against him by psychiatrist Abbott Granoff, who has an office on the same floor as Stanley's.

Granoff alleged Stanley bumped him with a box used to carry mail and uses abusive language.

Friday morning in Norfolk District Court, the two sides resolved their differences and the charges were dismissed.
