Man pleads guilty to elderly beatings

NORFOLK, Va. - A Norfolk man charged with beating an elderly couple pleaded guilty in Circuit Court Thursday.

Brian Jordan, 29, entered the plea on the following charged:First Degree Murder, Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Robbery and Burglary.

Jordan attacked Marion Wheeler and his wife inside their Sunset Drive home in Bayview back in April. 90-year-old Marion Wheeler died from his injuries.

Jordan is also accused of beating another elderly woman just blocks away, the day before the Wheelers were attacked.

Jordan's sentencing is scheduled for January 22, 2010.
