NORFOLK, Va. - A Norfolk man was sentenced to 6 years and 5 months in prison killing the driver, maiming a passenger and injuring another in a car wreck on Northampton Blvd. February 21, 2009.
Twenty-eight-year-old Ronald Keith Sharpe, Jr. was convicted on DUI, Aggravated Involuntary Manslaughter and Maiming charges Thursday in Norfolk Circuit Court, according to the Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.
In addition to spending time behind bars, Sharpe's driver's license was revoked and he was ordered to pay a fine.
Upon his release, Sharpe will spend an additional 10 years on probation.
