Portsmouth man found shot to death

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth police tell WAVY.com that 49-year-old Barry Donald Saunders died Tuesday evening as a result of multiple gunshots to his upper body.

The Portsmouth man was found lying unresponsive in a field off Nashville Avenue. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

There have been no arrests in the case and Portsmouth police have not released any suspect information at this time.
