HAMPTON, Va. - A jury found a Hampton man guilty of sexually assaulting a young girl in exchange for giving the child's mother drugs.
Joe Arthur Slade, 59, was found guilty of conspiracy of sodomy, aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy. Slade was convicted for giving a woman cocaine in exchange for sex with her 10-year-old daughter.
The jury recommended Arthur spend 30 years behind bars and face a fine of $50,000.
Slade will face a judge for formal sentencing on October 28.
