Business reports child porn to police

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - A Newport News man has been charged with possessing child pornography.

A local computer business contacted the Newport News Police Department on June 13, 2009 in reference to two computers brought in for repairs. The computers reportedly had child pornography on them.

Police seized the computers and the forensics team performed an analysis of both computers' hard drives.

The analysis revealed more than 200 images of child pornography on both of the computers, according to police. It was also revealed that Marvin Villacorta was the owner of the computers in question.

Marvin Villacorta, 31, of the 13200 block of Chester Lane in Newport News, was arrested on Tuesday, November 2 at police headquarters.

Villacorta was charged with 20 counts of possessing child pornography and placed in the custody of the Newport News City Jail.
