Two shot, Hampton police investigate

HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Eaton Street and Poplar Avenue at around 7:30 p.m., Thursday.

Police tell WAVY.com a 19 and 21-year-old were walking down Poplar Avenue when they were approached by an unknown suspect(s) in a gold Chevrolet Malibu traveling at a low rate of speed. Shots were fired from the vehicle, striking both victims.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital where they are currently being treated. No word yet on their conditions.
