GLOUCESTER, Va. - A two-year-boy drowned early Saturday morning in the York River at Gloucester Point.
An investigator on the scene told WAVY.com that the child was swimming with his nine-year-old brother when he went under.
Officials say the child was under water for at least ten minutes before crews arrived at around 7:40 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the toddler to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police will release his name once notification has been made.
