Ex-teacher sentenced for child porn

NORFOLK, Va. - A U.S. District Judge sentenced a former Granby High School teacher to 23 years in prison on child pornography charges.

Court documents show that between 2005 and 2008 Shon W. Walter, 50, exchanged sexually explicit photos involving children. Walter received more than 8,000 images of child pornography, according to documents.

It was also revealed that the former school teacher and his wife made sexually explicit videos and pictures with their toddler children present in the images.

A judge further ordered Walter to register as a sex offender following his release. He will also be prohibited from contact with minors and will have supervised visits with his children.

Walter pled guilty to two counts of receipt of child pornography back on June 1.
