CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The shop area of a Chesapeake dealership suffered smoke damage after a fire broke out at the dealership Friday.
Fire officials tell WAVY.com, the walls, some electrical systems and plastics in the fire exits at Greenbrier Dodge were damaged. They say the fire did not affect the showroom. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it made its way into the showroom.
Fire officials will be assessing the damage to secure it and make sure that the building and structure is safe.
Greenbrier Dodge will remain open today.
