PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth police continue to investigate a shooting that sent a 13-year-old to the hospital last month. Police say the 13-year-old was shot at around 1:15 p.m. on September 3 in the 1500 block of Lansing Avenue.
The teen survived the shooting, but the suspect managed to get away. Police have identified the suspect as 20-year-old Keonte M. Key and believe he's responsible for a second shooting. Police also say Key has been identified as a "Blood" gang member and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Key is wanted on two counts of Felonious Assault and two counts of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
Anyone with information on Key's whereabout is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
