PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Hampton Roads Transit is hosting a series of open house sessions for the public to comment on how bus service can be made more reliable and efficient. The sessions are part of a larger study called a Comprehensive Operations Analysis that is designed to evaluate the current system and seek ways to improve it.
A great deal of this data can be developed independently, such as through passenger counting, and surveys at transfer stations, but there is also a chance for the public to weigh in as well. After all, getting feedback from riders is important because they use the system every day.
At these informal meetings, a representative from HRT will explain the analysis and its long-term value.
Customers can comment on what works - or does not work about service in their community - and fill out a survey to help the study. The format is fairly simple.
The following locations will host the events:
December 3 - Chesapeake Main Library, 298 Cedar Road - 5:00-6:30 p.m.
