CG closes Port of Hampton Roads

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - The Coast Guard is closing the Port of Hampton Roads due to severe weather.

Officials established a safety zone that closed the port to all vessel traffic and vessel transits at 1 p.m.

The Coast Guard says it anticipates the port will remain closed until the severe weather stops.
