Light rail traffic alert

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - All travel lanes on the west side of Colley Avenue, between Brambleton Avenue and Southampton Avenue will close for the first phase of light rail construction come Tuesday, December 15.

The traffic plan will be as follows: one travel lane southbound and two travel lanes northbound will shift to the east side of Colley Avenue, with one northbound lane dedicated to right turns only. Both east and westbound turns will be maintained at Colley Avenue; however eastbound motorists are urged to use Riverview Avenue or Second Street.

The work will be completed in two phases and is estimated to take approximately 90 days to complete.
