Latest fire on ES investigated as arson

ONANCOCK, Va. (WAVY) - The latest fire on the Eastern Shore is being investigated as arson, according to a police spokeswoman.

Virginia State Police investigators responded to 20964 Bayside Road in Onancock around 3:15 a.m. Saturday for a structure fire at a small dilapidated structure, according to a press release from State Police.

Police say the structure was burned to the ground and the fire is being investigated as arson.

There have been over 50 fires intentionally set in Accomack County since November of last year.
