NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Junior Officer Ensign Clif Bukowsky received an Excellence in Shiphandling award last month.
According to a news release from the Navy, Bukowsky has conned the USS Nicholas for more than 20 special sea and anchor details, including the Panama Canal.
Bukowsky was "instrumental in ... placing the Nicholas in an opportune position to intercept drug smugglers."
“He is my go-to ship driver for all special evolutions” Nicholas Commanding Officer Cmdr. Cory Blaser said.
