NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Strong men and women from around Hampton Roads and across the nation will be showcasing their extreme strength in challenges like pulling cement trucks and lifting thousand pound tires at the Brute Strength Gym .
People are invited to come support the competitors or take part in the competition if they qualify.
"A regular person to a professional football player can play this sport. It's just a wide rage of athletes who love to try new things and pick up heavy things and move it," said Mark Kimener, the emcee for the event.
The competition will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brute Strength Gym, located at 836 Poplar Drive in Norfolk. Tickets are $5 and children under 5 are admitted in free.
Also, the Tidewater Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation will be there hosting a fundraiser to raise money for a good cause.
