Home devastated in Southampton Co. fire

SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - A home was devastated by fire in Southampton County Tuesday afternoon.

Maj. Gene Drewery with the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office said the fire was reported around 1:15 p.m. in the 33000 block of Seacock Chapel Road.

Crews from Ivor, Sedley, Wakefield, Courtland, Windsor and Hunterdale volunteer fire departments responded to the scene. No one was home at the time of the fire.

There were no injuries.
