HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Police say they have arrested one man and are searching for two more suspects in last weekend's shooting death of a Hampton teen.
Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division said officers were patrolling the 2000 block of Seldendale Drive Dec. 1 when they heard shots fired just before 1:45 a.m. They then located 19-year-old Bartholomew Kyle Robinson of Hampton suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
Price said Robinson was sitting inside a 2008 Dodge Caliber when he was shot and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.
Tuesday, 19-year-old Lequis Avari Williams was arrested and charged with one count of murder, two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction and three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Price said Williams was also served with outstanding warrants for one count of burglary, one count of misdemeanor assault and battery and one count of misdemeanor larceny.
There is no information about the other two suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
