HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police are looking for suspects in connection with a shooting in the 500 block of Harriett Street.

Police received multiple calls for gunshots just after 5 a.m. on Sunday.

When units arrived on scene they located two adult male victims inside of a residence suffering from gunshots wounds.

The first victim was shot in the upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.

The second victim was shot in the lower torso and has non-life threatening injuries.

According to Cpl. Mary Shackelford, the preliminary investigation reveals there was an exchange of gunfire between the occupants of the residence and the suspects who were outside the house.

Police say there were other adult occupants in the residence at the time of the shooting, but there were no other injuries. It is unknown at this time if the victims actually lived at the house or not.

At this point, police have not determined the motive or circumstances surrounding this shooting yet, but are asking anyone with any information to call the Crimeline at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
