HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton police have arrested and charged two suspects in relation to an exchange of gunfire at Walmart.
Police said one of the individuals involved in the Walmart altercation, a 28-year-old Hampton man, was shot multiple times. He remains in the hospital in good condition.
The exchange of gunfire took place in the parking lot of the Walmart, located in the 1900 block of Cunningham Drive, around 5:20 p.m. on Dec. 27.
Two suspects were arrested Dec. 28 during a tactical situation that took place at the Best Western in the 1800 block of West Mercury Boulevard.
David Lamar Andrews, 27, of Hampton, with a last known address in the 100 block of Walnut Street, was arrested and charged with maiming, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Randell Lamont Woods, 23, of Hampton, who resides in the first block of Franktown Road, was also arrested and charged with maiming and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Both suspects are being held in the Hampton City Jail.
Police are still seeking the public's assistance in identifying a third suspect. Surveillance footage from the Walmart shows a man police believe was also involved in the shooting.
