HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton police are looking for the man responsible for a robbery, abduction and attempted abduction. Police say all of the offenses took place in just over seven hours.

On Feb. 8 at 11:25 p.m., the suspect, armed with a gun, approached a 21-year-old man in the 200 block of Marcella Road and forced him to drive to the Wells Fargo on Coliseum Drive. Once at the bank, the suspect demanded money be withdrawn, but the victim wasn't able to do so. The gunman made the victim drive back to Marcella Road, where he took the victim's cell phone, credit card and car keys and left the area.

Just before 5:30 a.m. the next morning, the same man approached Yvette Arrington, 51, in the 5100 block of Goldsboro Drive. Police say the suspect was still armed and again forced Arrington into her own vehicle. But once Arrington got in her car, she started honking the horn and kicked the suspect.

"When I laid on the horn, he cocked the gun and said, 'I'm gonna shoot you, you gonna die tonight, you gonna die tonight', so then when I laid on the horn, someone came and called out and he ran," Arrington said.

According to police, the man ran away heading towards W. Mercury Boulevard.

An hour later, the same gunman robbed a teen inside the Hardee's located in the 900 block of Big Bethel Road. The suspect got away with the 17-year-old's wallet.

Police have released an image of the suspect captured on surveillance cameras at an area convenience store. If you recognized the man in the attached video, call police at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
