HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Four students on a Hampton school bus were taken to the hospital as a precaution after their bus was involved in an accident.

Around 2:15 p.m., the bus from Tarrant Elementary School ran into the back of a Nissan Versa at the intersection of Aberdeen Road and 56th Avenue. The Versa was stopped at a red light at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Versa was also taken to the hospital. A police spokeswoman said none of the individuals transported had visible injuries, but they did complain of pain.

Charges are pending against the bus driver.
