HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - A gas leak closed a portion of King Street in Hampton Friday.

Capt. Jeff Pereira with the Hampton Fire Division told WAVY.com the leak occurred around 11 a.m. when a construction crew damaged a ¾ inch gas line. King Street between Gilbert Street and Little Back River Road was closed as crews worked to fix the leak.
