HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - The City of Hampton is experiencing an email outage that has been impacting all city offices since Monday night.
A message on the city website says "Hampton's email servers have gone down. No incoming or outgoing emails from Hampton.gov -- IT hopes to have the problem solved soon."
If you email a city office, you likely will not get a bounceback or error message, according to a news release. The email will eventually go through.
Until the problem is corrected, consider communicating by phone. Call 311 from a landline in the city of 757-727-8311 from a cell phone or outside the city to locate a city office number.
The City of Hampton is updating the email status on its website, hampton.gov , via Facebook and Twitter .
