HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a boat caught fire early Thursday morning in Hampton outside of a home.

According to Maurice Wilson with Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue, a neighbor on his way to work called the fire in at 2:17 a.m. The fire in the 400 block of Joy Drive was under control at 2:22 a.m. and the cause of the fire seems to be a some type of mechanical failure, Wilson said.
