HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - The Hampton City Council approved its 2010 - 2011 school budget Wednesday evening, with some slight changes, according to Ann Stephens with Hampton City schools.
The council agreed to cut salaries by 0.8 percent, rather than the proposed 1.6 percent.
The 12 members of the Division Leadership Team agreed to take a 1.6 percent salary cut as well, so that special education bus drivers could keep their monthly supplement, which is $150 per month.
