Local homicide suspect arrested in Ga

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Police tell WAVY.com a Hampton homicide suspect was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Georgia, Wednesday.
Investigators say 34-year-old Corey Lashawn Ballard shot and killed 26-year-old Bruce Wright of Hampton in the early morning hours on November 20, 2009 in the 1400 blk. of Seward Drive.
Ballard has been charged with murder, firearms charges and aggravated malicious wounding.
Ballard is awaiting extradition to Virgina.
