NORFOLK, Va. - WAVY.com has learned crews installed security cameras in two downtown Norfolk parking garages.

The cameras are up and running on each level of the Freemason Street and Waterside garages. In March, police investigated a homicide in the Waterside Parking Garage and then another homicide in the Freemason Parking Garage in November.

Norfolk city spokesperson Bob Batcher says the York and Main Street garages will get the technology soon.
