NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Bon Secours Virginia Health System, Operation Blessing International and the New Life Christian Center are teaming up to rebuild and expand a local foodbank destroyed by the November nor'easter.

A ribbon cutting and press conference will be held Friday marking the reopening of The Store House. The community food pantry was severly damaged by the nor'easter and due to the collective efforts of those mentioned above the pantry was revitalized and expanded.

The Store House supports hundreds of local families in the East Ocean View area of Norfolk each year.

In addition to the ribbon cutting, 40,000 pounds of food will be donated to the pantry donated by Operation Hunger Strike.
