PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A vacant house in the 1500 block of Leckie Street in Portsmouth caught fire Tuesday evening, at the intersection of Williams Street, according to fire officials.
Flames were shooting from the roof, a neighbor told WAVY.com, as fire crews rushed to the home. A neighbor said the house has been vacant for years.
Fire officials say the call came in at 6:07 p.m. and the fire was under control by 6:36.
There were no injuries and the cause is still under investigation.
