RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) - Federal prosecutors want former Delegate Phil Hamilton of Newport News to repay the $87,271 he earned for a job at Old Dominion University.
The job at ODU is the same position that lead to his conviction on bribery and extortion charges.
U.S. Attorneys asked a judge for an order of forfeiture in Richmond.
Hamilton had a part time job at a teacher training center ODU.
During his time in the General Assembly, Hamilton sponsored legislation to create that center.
Hamilton will be sentenced August 12 in Richmond. He faces 10 years in prison.
