Wrong way DUI driver underage

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - An underage driver was charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after causing three accidents overnight on Interstate-64, state police said Friday.

Sergeant Michelle Cotten with the Virginia State Police told WAVY.com the driver, who is underage, caused three separate accidents in the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel overnight; one with injuries. The driver has been identified as Charon Spruce of Hampton.

Virginia State Police say that Spruce got on Interstate-64 at the 261 mile marker driving eastbound in the westbound lanes.

Spruce resides in the 2000 blk. of Calverton at Hampton University.
