CHKD RunWalk For The Kids

Organizers hope to raise $150K to help children

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Saturday morning more than 3,000 people laced up their sneakers to help the children of Hampton Roads.

The sixth-annual CHKD RunWalk For The Kids took place in Downtown Norfolk. Participants in the 8k run, two mile walk and one mile fun run weaved their way through the streets to finish at Town Point Park.

CHKD is celebrating its 50th year and organizers hope to reach the $150,000 race goal.
