CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Police have launched an investigation into how a motorcyclist ended up dead along a Chesapeake road Friday morning.
Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department told WAVY.com officers received a call for a disabled motorcycle along Moses Grandy Trail near Shipyard Road around 8:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the motorcycle but not the rider.
A short time later, the rider, 30-year-old Chesapeake man Anthony S. Budzina, was found dead.
It is unknown if alcohol or speed were a factor at this time.
"Often it can be medical condition, it can be speed, or alcohol. We have no idea what could have been a factor in this," O'Sullivan said.
