Motorcyclist killed in crash identified

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Police officers responded to a motorcycle accident just before 1 a.m. Saturday on Pocaty Road near the intersection of Blackwater Road.
According to Officer Leo Kosinski with the Chesapeake Police Department, the motorcyclist went off the roadway to the right and struck a tree. The motorcyclist died instantly.
Chesapeake Police say the victim was Jacob Cobb, 20, of Chesapeake.
The investigation is ongoing. It's not clear if speed or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
