CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Five years have passed since WAVY broke the news that Michael Vick was running an illegal dog-fighting ring.
Now, Vick is writing a tell-all autobiography and getting his reputation back with a Nike endorsement, but one woman is critical of Vick's post-prison personality improvement.
Rhonda Tucker rehabilitated Cox, one of Vick's fighting dogs.
"She was terrified absolutely terrified of everything and everybody," Tucker said.
The Humane Society, previously one of Vick's critics, now supports him.
"Yes, he works with the Humane Society and that's good, but I don't see him cleaning any crates [or] taking the dogs there that never have any human interaction for a walk," Tucker said. "That's what would make me think, 'yes mister, you've changed.'"
"I'm trying to change people's perceptions but I can't change everybody's," Vick said.
Vick's book, "Finally Free," will hit store shelves on September 4.
