CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A water manhole collapsed in Chesapeake Friday, causing a significant cave-in.
According to Elizabeth Vaughn with the City of Chesapeake, the cave-in occurred on Providence Road. The water manhole belongs to the City of Norfolk.
Norfolk crews will begin work on Monday, March 4. At this time, the outside southbound lane is closed between Lockard Avenue and Weber Avenue. Avoid the area.
