Man flown to hospital after crash

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A 22-year-old man was transported via Nightingale to the hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Chesapeake Thursday.

Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department told WAVY.com the crash occurred in the 1700 block of Head of River Road around 8 a.m. and involved a Ford Escort and a Ford-450.

The driver of the Escort was transported to Sentara Norfolk General with serious injuries via Nightingale. O’Sullivan said he was conscious and breathing at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash. Police are investigating the crash at this time to determine who was at fault.
