CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - The local Sikh community is raising money for victims of last week's Wisconsin temple shooting .
The Guru Nanak Foundation Of Tidewater prayed for the six victims killed and the three injured at Sunday's service in Chesapeake.
The Sikh American Legal Defence and Education Fund (SALDEF), a nonprofit organization, requested all religious places of worship to organize a national moment of reflection for the Wisconsin victims, according to Surinder Dhillon, a spokesperson for the Guru Nanak Foundation Of Tidewater.
Others can donate to the cause by stopping by the Sikh temple located at 780 Finck Ln. in Chesapeake.
Police in Wisconsin still have no motive for the shooting. They say the suspect, Wade Michael Page, shot himself during the rampage.
