CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Inmates plead guilty inmate's escape

Clancy Dan Starling escaped from jail on June 11 and was found June 20. Starling was said to have been outside during open recreation time when he slipped under the fence with the help of other inmates.

Those inmates were identified as Michael Eugene Darnell, Travis Christian, Thomas Martin Evans and Keith Kenyon McAdoo. All were charged with aid felon or escape jail facility.

Thursday, Evans and Christian pled guilty and will be sentenced on Jan. 28.

Darnell entered a plea of not guilty. It is unknown at this time what came out of the hearing.

A hearing for McAdoo in August was continued.
