CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - The family of a crossing guard killed while on duty is suing the driver police say is responsible.
Lovette Person's husband is suing Tiare Blees for $6 million.
Police say Blees hit Person while she was directing traffic outside Western Branch Intermediate School in Oct. 2011.
Blees will be tried for a reckless driving in April.
No date is set for the lawsuit.
